This Vans spec commercial was filmed using the Sony FX3 alongside a Sony Handycam, blending modern cinematic visuals with a nostalgic, lo-fi aesthetic. Our concept centered on following a subject wearing the product, sharing how it makes him feel and the role it plays in what he loves. This personal, authentic storytelling approach aligns perfectly with Vans’ brand identity and creative voice.

By combining high-quality footage from our cinema camera with the textured look of vintage camcorder footage, we achieved an indie, nostalgic tone that resonates deeply with both the skate community and Vans’ signature marketing style. The result captures the raw, human energy that defines the brand.
